Day on the Greens

On Sunday after church, we headed to McCleery golf course for a fun outdoor family day. We took a picnic lunch and the kids and I drove the cart while Jonathan played a round with 3 other people. It was such a gorgeous afternoon and I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. The course is situated along the water's edge on one side and is also surrounded by a very 'horsey' neighbourhood. There were riding lessons, trail riders, and people 'walking' their horses on 2 other sides of the course. Who would have expected that here in Vancouver? Charlotte loved watching the horses and feeding the ducks that were lazing on the several ponds situated perfectly between greens and fairways. I hope we can do this again - we'll just make sure to wear sunscreen next time!
