Yellowstone: June 20

Yellowstone was spectacular!  Although we were disappointed by not seeing any bears or bighorns, we saw several buffalo, elk, deer, and a few female moose.  We spent the whole day driving around the park...we wish we could have gotten out and done some hikes, but having kids in carseats makes the whole 'getting in & out' factor a bit difficult.  We figure we'll take them back when they're older and spent a few days exploring.  But for now, we'll take what we can get!

The crowd waiting for Old Faithful...we got there just 15 minutes before it did it's thing!
The beginning...
...and it's full glory!
Jonathan spooked this sleeping buffalo and got it to roll over...
...stand up, and walk away.  It's shedding - that's why it looks so funny
The firepots - they were incredible!

Buffalo right out our car window!!!

The petrified tree...we honestly thought it would be a bit more impressive...
The Roosevelt arch right before the Montana border
It started pouring rain just before we crossed the border and didn't stop until we went to bed!
